Blog Questions

Why a book blog? I maintain a regular personal blog over on livejournal, but I’ve been thinking about doing more book reviews/writing about other book related topics.  I’m also going to be doing a lot of books challenges. I thought it might be good to keep the personal and the book stuff mostly separate.  I also want to increase the length of my reviews.

Why the name “The Leprechaun Reads” My nickname among my friends back in New Mexico was “the leprechaun.” I’m short, Irish, and look good in green.  “The Leprechaun Reads” seems like a catchy name for a blog to me.

Who? I’m a 29 year old with a Masters in Water Resource Management and a BA in Environmental Science and Policy. I was born in TN, grew up near Washington, D.C., went to a college in Amherst, MA, and went to grad school/worked/lived for several years in Albuquerque, NM. I’m currently back in D.C. looking for a job in government (local, state, or federal) or with an environmental nonprofit doing work related to what I went to school for.
