Favorites:

1.  Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  I originally read it only so I could subsequently read the version with zombies and see what all the fuss was about…I suprisingly fell in love with it, I’m planning on reading at least one book by her in 2010, maybe more.    I’m reading in publication order, and really want to get to Northanger Abbey (As I have a suspicion it will wind up being my favorite).

2.  Under the Net by Iris Murdoch.  Iris Murdoch was a new to me author this year who I discovered via the bio pic “Iris,” she has a wonderful way with language/philosophy.  I’m looking forward to reading more of her stuff).

3. The first two books in the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I absolutely  devoured these.  Lisbeth Salander is a magnificent character. The cliffhanger at the end of book 2 nearly killed me…Book 3 comes out in the U.S. in May!
